Donations
With the exception of the two professional conductors, WIYSO is a completely volunteer-run organisation. We draw our revenues from government grants, private and public partnerships, concert tickets sales, and private donations.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to WIYSO. Every dollar you are able to donate goes directly to support the orchestra's mission and is greatly appreciated.
WIYSO is a registered charity (registered number 133219683RR0001). Donations are eligible to be claimed on federal and Quebec tax returns.
There are three ways you can make a tax-deductible donation to WIYSO:
- At a concert, ask to speak to the WIYSO Treasurer who will take your donation and details for the tax receipt.
- Mail your cheque to:
West Island Youth Symphony Orchestra
P.O. Box 1028, Station Pointe-Claire
Pointe-Claire QC H9S 4H9
Do not forget to indicate to whom the receipt should be issued. WIYSO will mail your tax receipt to you shortly after the end of the calendar year.

- Donate online using a credit card at CanadaHelps. Click the button >>
CanadaHelps will issue your electronic tax receipt immediately.
Note that we are not able to issue tax receipts for membership fees, audition fees, concert tickets, etc.
If you have any questions about making a donation please email the WIYSO Treasurer at treasurer@osjwi.qc.ca.
